Share the Love Applications Open Oct. 1

Last year, your donations paid medical bills, paid past and future bills, and helped them have more comforts in their everyday life— now it’s your turn to apply or plan for 2027

Molalla’s Share the Love (STL) opens its 2027 recipient applications Thursday, Oct. 1. If you or someone you know has strong ties to Molalla and is facing financial hardship, now is the time to apply.

In 2026, STL raised $105, 076 for four local families. The Sandsness, Albright, Delazerda, and Grossnickles families, and the results were immediate:

  • Sandsness Family: Helped ease the financial stress by contributing toward the family’s medical expenses.

  • Albright Family: Provided support with medical costs and helped Reese adjust to life after the accident by helping afford items that made his everyday life easier and more comfortable.

  • Delazerda Family: Helped cover both housing and medical expenses, giving Tami the opportunity to take time away from work to focus on appointments and rest.

  • Grossnickle Family: Offering financial support that allowed the family to take time off work for appointments while also helping with the cost of medical bills.

That’s STL in action: neighbors helping neighbors, with outcomes you can see.

How to apply

  • Find the application: Google Form (email us for the link), the Molalla High School website, and STL flyers around town with a QR code.

  • Deadline: Friday, Nov. 20

  • Submit: Via the Google Form or a paper copy. 

What is Share the Love?

STL is a student-led, local nonprofit that selects recipients through an application and committee review. Each February, STL teams up with local businesses for three weeks of events to raise funds. This year’s campaign kicks off with an opening assembly Jan. 29 and wraps with a final assembly Feb. 19. Molalla High School Leadership and the wider community are all-in on keeping this tradition strong.

Think ahead: Share the Love 2027

Businesses, clubs, and community members: it’s not too early to start dreaming up fundraisers, sponsorships, and creative partnerships for STL 2027. Early planning equals bigger impact.
